Welcome to piano lessons in Deux-Montagnes! I have been teaching for 25 years (in English and in French) and have a passion for music whether it be teaching, performing, or research. I hold a Master of Music degree from the University of Ottawa and an ARCT diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music. I have pedagogy training in both Suzuki and traditional methods. Students from 5 years old and up take private piano lessons from September until May, and can begin at anytime during the year. Lessons for Beginners -In the first 8-week term young beginners and their parents can expect to familiarize themselves with the early piano pieces in Book 1 Suzuki Piano through listening, singing, rhythm games, actions, and playing the piano. In addition students typically learn about music-reading, the basics of hand and arm position, how to sit properly at the piano, and the notes of the keyboard.
